About Me

Truth be told I don’t have much to say about myself. If you knew me in high school and met me again now, years and years later, you’d probably say not much of me has changed.

Screen Shot 2015-03-29 at 9.04.24 PMBut since you don’t know me – or likely don’t know me – I’ll do what I can to introduce myself. My name’s Alexandra, I’m almost 24 twenty five (time flies!), that right there is me…

…and yes, I did find a lego figurine (it’s lego Hermione’s hair) to take a photo of and “be me”. You may be seeing lots of “lego me”. Because new fancy macro lens, I think this guy is awesome, and my dad and I are trying to start up a little photography hobby blog.

I’ve fallen into mostly solitary activities. I’m a sports photographer, a runner, and I love reading. I also get my energy from being around people…until I need some alone time. Then it’s the perfect time to take the dog for a walk.

I’ve played sports all my life, I’m not a fan of spiders, and I love double contractions (ex. I’d’ve, couldn’t’ve…)

I am much better at distance then I am at speed, and as hard as I try I’ll never be a natural athlete.

That’s all I can think of at the moment. I’m sure you’ll get to know me better as we go along.

Update: this is my puppy Keefer

We jokingly call her Bunny (as in the Duracell Energizer Bunny) – she’s got oodles of energy to spare. She’s an August 2015 baby and, as corny as it may sound, the best thing that’s ever happened to me. Her favourite things include: chasing hockey balls (nothing in the world beats those orange ones), chasing bunnies 🐰 and (secretly) I think she quite likes curling up on the couch after an exhausting day.

Another fact about me – yes, I am a bit of a crazy dog lady.

    Hi Alexandra,

Just a quick note related to the X-T20 since you mentioned your hope to get it before Xmas when we met last week end at Henrys and you kindly showed me the X-T2 and shared a few thoughts on other cameras with my son Alexandre (if you remember us).
Fuji rumours does seem to show good sign on the release date:

I would still keep track of this source – they have been pretty consistent with imminent release

I started looking at Aputure products – thanks for the pointer !

All the best with your exercising 😉 (just read your latest post).

      Thanks Boris!
Of course I remember you guys! Aputure has some great products and I can’t wait to see what they release in the future as well (I’m hoping for an update to their ring light, temp. Control would make it that much more amazing). So much attention goes to the camera/lens manufacturers that I think we forget to pay attention to the people who make ‘accessories’. A lens can drastically alter your shooting, but so can a light, or a tripod.
Thanks for the link to the Fuji stuff – more and more I’m convinced that I want one. Whether it’s the x-t20 or the x-t2… we’ll see…
